Sowore ‘Shot’ By Police Officer At Rally

Popular activist, Omoyele Sowore, was reportedly shot at by the police in Abuja on Monday.

According to multiple reports, the former presidential candidate was shot at by the police at the Unity Fountain while he was trying to gain entrance into the place.

Sowore was said to have been speaking with a detachment of police officers stationed at the public facility when an officer shot at the crowd.

Fellow activist, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed the incident.

He added that he has been rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
