Married man accused of beating up his “side chic” for attending a wedding in Imo

A married man has been accused of brutally beating his “side chic” who he shares a child with. Obiechina Egbuonu allegedly attacked Grateful Uche Ofoma on December 28 for attending a friend’s wedding in Owerri without his consent. Grateful Ofoma lives in Enugu with the son she shares with Obiechina. She reportedly had the child for Obiechima after he allegedly hid the fact that he’s married from her. For the Christmas festivities, Grateful traveled to her maternal home in Mbaise. From there, she then went for her former secondary school classmate’s wedding in Owerri. When Obiechina found out, he allegedly travelled from Aba where he lives with his wife and kids, to Owerri to confront his “side chic”. The confrontation is said to have turned violent as Obiechima allegedly physically attacked Grateful, leaving her with injuries on her body as seen in graphic photos shared online. Nigerian nurse jailed for sexually abusing patients in US

A Nigerian nurse practising in the U.S. has been jailed for sexually abusing patients in the U.S. Godbless Uwadiegwu, a former nurse aide, was on Tuesday, December 28, sentenced to three years in prison by a U.S court after pleading guilty to sexually abusing patients. The 59-year-old was accused of having sexual contact with two patients in two different facilities: Traditions of Deerfield and Otterbein SeniorLife in Maineville. Uwadiegwu, who pleaded guilty in November to two felony counts of gross sexual imposition, was previously indicted on 3 rape charges and 3 charges of gross sexual imposition. The rape charges and one of the gross sexual imposition counts were dropped as part of the plea. Prosecutors sought the maximum sentence. Nasir El-Rufai Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai , has presented the staff of office to the new Emir of Lere, Alhaji Suleiman Umaru. The new emir succeeded his uncle, late Sarki Abubakar II, who died in April 2021. The late Sarkin Lere was a retired Brigadier General and former military governor of Sokoto State. The late emir, an educationist, with his wife, established Essence International School, Kaduna. Aminu Masari Aminu Bello Masari , governor of Katsina State, has stated that the reason he has continued to advocate self-defense in the face of rising insecurity in the state is because Islam as a religion allows a person to defend himself and his family against any form of attack. Masari warned that anyone who died while defending himself and his family would be considered a martyr.
